Hi, I’m Maura and I run Bloom Baby Classes in South Tyneside and Gateshead East!

I had my baby during lockdown and baby groups weren’t running until she was 4 months old. Until then I felt quite isolated and lonely, as I couldn’t see family or friends and really didn’t have the “normal” support during that time. But then I found Bloom and it was a real lifeline for me. I came to classes and left my worries at the door, surrounded by fellow lockdown mammies.

Of course after having Olivia, my priorities totally changed and I wanted not only a better work life balance but something where I was doing good for people and bringing happiness to them whilst being happy myself too. The opportunity to bring that positivity and support to parents and babies like we experienced is just so wonderful. So here I am and I can’t wait to meet all of you and your little ones!

As part of our continued effort to support parents and post natal wellbeing we have created the Rainbow Parachute Project.

When booking onto a Bloom Baby Class class you will be asked if you are able to round up your total basket to the nearest pound or add a little more if you are able to.

All money raised will go to post natal mental health charities across the UK, providing life saving telephone support and in person support groups where parents can share their experiences and get professional support from trained mental health specialists.
