We did it. Bloom Baby Classes made our first donation to Pandas U.K and we would like to thank you!
When I first started running Bloom baby classes in my hometown of Stockport in 2017 I was aware of pandas running locally and the work that they did. Throughout my years running classes I began supporting another local group called Snowdrops by sponsoring their running costs and helping support some events that they ran. I felt it important to give back as much as i could afford with my small business to try and support local mums in the area at that time.
As our franchise network has grown it has always been important that we try and give back as much as we can and after speaking to pandas U.K. during the pandemic when calls to their helpline increased by over 3000% I started to think of ways in which our baby development class network could help them help more mums and families across the UK.
We created the rainbow parachute project, the aim of this was to ask all families when booking a class to round up their booking cost to the nearest pound or donate as much as they could afford. In order to do this though we needed our own new website and this has been one HUGE mammoth task to launch. Our new website helps parents find their nearest class easily and book a class in just a few clicks it now can ask parents whether they would like to donate.
Since launching the website network wide in March of this month we have raised just over £1100 in customer donations. We decided that once we reached £1k we would make our first donation to pandas and both Bloom.
Baby Classes and Bloom Toddler Classes also made donations so we were able to round up a total amount of £1500.
Seeing parents donate to support other parents really is such a beautiful thing to see. Knowing our parents who attend our classes support our ethos in aiding maternal wellbeing just as much as we do means the world to us and to all of our customers who helped us reach this first donation milestone we would like to thank you.
