Bloom Baby Classes Wicklow and South Dublin
At Bloom Baby Classes, we’re always so thrilled to introduce you to inspiring teachers who have recently joined our incredible community. Amy McHugh, who was the first to launch Bloom Baby Classes in Ireland last year, has been helping to support little ones and their parents all over the country since she opened her doors. Due to her impact on our loving network, today we are delighted to introduce you to Amy and share her journey with us so far.
Hello, I’m Amy! I’m 37, and whilst I was born in Northampton, I now live in Wicklow, Dublin, with my husband and my little boy who has just turned two – we’re located right by the sea, and I love it because it’s so pretty! I opened Bloom Baby Classes Wicklow and South Dublin in September 2022.
I have a degree in childhood studies which I completed in London. After finishing my degree, I went to work as a nanny where I was lucky enough to travel the world. Following the birth of my little one, having a job that took me all over the globe was no longer going to work, so I began looking for a new venture that would still allow me to support little ones whilst staying close to home – which is when I discovered Bloom!
Some friends of mine over in the UK attended Bloom classes and I saw how much fun everyone was having from all their social media posts online. I wanted to not only be a part of what seemed like an amazing community but offer up this opportunity to those in Ireland – we had nothing like this before I opened the classes, and I became aware of a gap in local little one’s and parents’ lives that needed to be filled!
I have always worked with children, and I love being a part of their development. It’s amazing seeing them change, even with each session and their little smiles warm my heart! I also love working with the mums too – support for mothers is crucial throughout the first few years of parenthood. I really feel that we’re creating a community and I know just how important that can be when you’re a mum. Parenthood can be isolating and tiring, both physically and emotionally – we all need other mums who just get it, who will lift us!
I love to travel, and I love eating out at restaurants with different cuisines and seeing whatexperiences the world has to offer! I also love spending time with my family, going for walks on the beach, and exploring local petting farms – we love to get out in nature!
