Sophie Nixon Bloom Baby Classes, Northumberland

At Bloom Baby Classes we believe that nobody should have to begin motherhood alone, especially during a global pandemic! This is why we’re so happy to introduce you to Sophie Nixon, a mum of one who began attending our classes in October 2020. By the beginning of 2021, Sophie had fallen in love with the Bloom way of life and joined us as a teacher for Bloom Baby Classes in Northumberland. Today, we are delighted to introduce you to Sophie and tell you all about her journey with us so far.

How did you come across Bloom Baby Classes?

When I was working as a beautician in a retail store, I was busy a lot of the time. The company I was working for had become more money-driven rather than wanting to make people feel good and confident about themselves, and I wasn’t happy working there anymore. Plus, I was missing my daughter Maia’s bath and bedtimes which were, and are, so important to me as a first-time mum.

I came across Bloom Baby Classes when I was on maternity leave in 2020 and my first session was a Halloween event – Maia loved it and so did I! I signed up for the whole term there and then. It made me realise how motherhood should feel – not stressful, but a relaxing and special time with your little one. I knew Bloom Baby Classes was where I wanted to be and so I took steps to resign from my beauty therapist job which my husband and my whole family supported me in.

Near the end of 2020 I asked Jen, who owns the baby franchise in our area, if she needed anyteachers. She asked if I could start in the January and my involvement with the business hasbloomed since then. I am still teaching for Jen, but I will be launching the first Bloom Toddler Classes soon which I am so excited for!

What’s the best thing about being a Bloom Baby Classes teacher?

Building relationships with the parents, children and other teachers is the best part for me. I’ve built so many relationships with children from six months until they are a year old and so too old for the classes. The parents and children are emotional when they have to leave as the classes have made such a huge difference to their lives, which is why I am so excited to start the new toddler classes – I’ll be able to continue teaching these same children and helping them to develop even further.

What are your hobbies and interests?

Having adventures with my little family! My husband Callum, my two-year-old daughter Maia and Ilove to drive to nearby places and explore the area together. We also have a rescue greyhound and love to go on nice, long dog walks in our local area. You could say that I’m happiest when I’m with my family!

The team at Bloom Baby Classes are thrilled that Sophie will be launching the first ever toddlersessions in Northumberland in the new year. To find out more about these new sessions, as well as our existing specialist baby development sessions, contact us at enquiries@bloombabyclasses.com or call us on 0800 4647960.
